What is priority pay?
Priority pay is when you receive your deposit early, prior to the regularly scheduled Friday payday. It can be a helpful option if you ever find yourself needing your money quickly!
How do I receive priority pay?
Step 1: Begin by logging in to the Workforce Portal.
Step 2: Find a timesheet for a completed shift that you would like to request priority pay for.
Step 3: Toggle the priority pay button on the Summary screen of your timesheet.
Step 4: Submit your timesheet as usual.
Is there a fee for priority pay?
Yes, there is a $25 fee for requesting your paycheck earlier than the regular Friday payday. The good news is, you can submit as many completed timesheets as you want all at once to request them under one priority pay – so you only pay the original $25 fee.
Occasionally, your Staffing Specialist may reward you with a free priority pay! If you have a free priority pay on file, the $25 fee will be automatically waived on your next request. You can view your free priority pay balance on your paystubs.
Is there a deadline for priority pay requests?
Yes, priority pay requests do have deadlines in order for them to be processed and paid out on time. All priority pay requests are due prior to 8 am each business day (Monday - Friday) to be deposited into your account the following business day. Priority pays cannot be processed or deposited on Saturdays, Sundays, or bank holidays.
Example Scenarios:
A priority pay request submitted before 8 am CST on Tuesday will be deposited on Wednesday.
A priority pay request submitted after 8 am CST on Tuesday will be deposited on Thursday
A priority pay request submitted before 8 am CST on Friday will be deposited on Monday.
A priority pay request submitted after 8 am CST on Friday will be deposited on Tuesday.
When Monday is a bank holiday, a priority pay request submitted before 8 am CST on the Friday before the holiday will be deposited on Tuesday.
When Monday is a bank holiday, a priority pay request submitted after 8 am CST on the Friday before the holiday will be deposited on Wednesday.
Will my paystub look different if I use priority pay?
When you request priority pay, you will simply see “Priority Pay Fee” listed on your paystub.
You can also pull up a detailed paystub in Paylocity by downloading your paystub. This will give you a clear layout of your priority pay requests, shifts, and payrates.
